I truly believe that making the choice to engage in therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness. Even though we may be highly successful in many aspects of life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed at the same time.

Whether you’re dealing with relationship stress, coping with life transitions, struggling to balance work and life, or feeling generally overwhelmed and overloaded, I’m confident that we can work together to make things better.

My approach:

I believe in a therapeutic environment where you're given the opportunity to set your own goals. We’ll work together to create real and lasting change in your life. I don’t believe that therapy has to be a long-term commitment and my clients often see significant results in a short amount of time. Together, we’ll figure out what you need and how we can make it happen.

My background:

My degrees include a Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. I feel both fortunate and proud to have attended such strong training programs and to have worked with so many individuals influential in their fields.

My early clinical experiences included in-home therapy with military families as well as children and adolescents in the foster care system. I received specialized training in Theraplay, a clinical model of child and family therapy designed to build healthy attachment, engagement and self-esteem.  I was also fortunate enough to have the experiences of being published in the Journal of Family Issues and Archives of Sexual Behavior, and serve as an ad hoc journal reviewer for Sexuality and Culture. Additionally, I served on the founding board for the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but currently live in Minneapolis with my husband and daughter. I like to spend my free time relaxing with family and friends, cooking, and practicing yoga. Each day, my goal is to approach both my work and my personal life with bravery, authenticity and compassion.

When you’re ready, we’re here.
